Take part in The Amazing Murphy’s Tart Challenge!
Murphy’s Farm is known far and wide for our delicious tarts — and now we’re looking to YOU for our next, greatest flavour by joining The Amazing Murphy’s Tart Challenge!
From today until August 24, you’re invited to submit your idea for a new tart flavour for the Murphy’s bakery – whether it’s a spin on our fan-favourite butter tarts, a creative new concoction of compelling flavours, or a completely different take on the traditional tart, the only criteria is that it be realistic, practical, creative, delicious and fun! Our bakery team will shortlist a group of finalists from the submissions and the community will then be asked to vote on their favourite.
The winner will not only see their limited edition tart creation baked at Murphy’s for a whole weekend during our Fall season (with a special label featuring their name), but they’ll also get to select a local charity close to their heart where we will direct 10% of the proceeds from the sale of these tarts. Add on top of that a $100 Murphy’s gift card AND a set of four (4) complementary Fall Play Passes, and you’ve got yourself an amazing prize!
(Prizes for a select number of runner-ups will also be available).

- To be considered for the Challenge, submissions must be made through the online form on the official Murphy’s website. No submissions via social media or any other means will be accepted.
- Please note that the winning tart idea may need to be altered in order to be made by the Murphy’s bakery team. The core flavour idea however will be maintained as much as possible.
- If multiple individuals submit the exact same idea, preference will be given to the one who submits first.
- Winners will be contacted via official email from Murphy’s Farm (info@murphysfarmmarket.com). No other means of communication will be used to contact participants of the Challenge – please beware of social media scams and spam accounts attempting to impersonate Murphy’s Farm (note that our only IG handle is @murphysfarm).
