Hollis EnglishHello, Lovely! Hollis here, your resident baker, teacher and teal obsessed friend!

I am the Creative Director and Co-Owner at the farm. I am also a mama to 4 littles (all 5 and under!). If you know me, you know I am all over the map on any given day, wearing all.the.hats. I always do my best to show up as much as humanly possible for the people I care about most.

Sometimes, that showing up means a beautiful, made from scratch meal. And sometimes it means Happy Meals. I am a firm believer in doing what works and serves you most in each moment. Less pressure, less guilt.

Just because I know how to make from scratch, doesn’t mean I do all the time. Goodness no! The whole goal is to be able to. Its about you knowing that you can whenever the opportunity or mood arises!

To be able to create and enjoy the delicious results…well, what could be better?!

What do I need to view these classes?

  • In order to take part in our online classes, all you need is your computer or tablet and an internet connection. No webcam required!

How do I know what ingredients I will need?

  • We will provide you with an easy to download and printable PDF of the recipe so you can easily see what you’ll need.

What if I have questions?

  • There will be a monitored comment section available right in the course! You can also ask questions in our Facebook group at any time or in our weekly live calls.

What does the course include?

  •  Freezing

  • No need to ever use store bought again

How do I take a class?

  • Just log on to your teachable account and click on the class you want to watch.  Download the recipe from the very same page and get cooking!

Can I do this course with my kids?

  • Absolutely! We encourage anyone and everyone to participate. Working in the kitchen with your family can be some of the most rewarding time spent together.

How long do I have to complete a course?

  • There are no time limits to complete the course. You can take the course on your own time and at your own pace.

What kind of kitchen tools do I need?

  • We try to keep it as simple as possible. For preserving you will need mason a jars, a few pots, some mixing bowls, lifter (optional), canning trivet (optional)

How does the program work?

  • Everything is online. Got questions?  We are online with you, ready to answer!

I don’t have a clue about baking or cooking. Can I take the course?

  • Absolutely! We welcome everyone no matter what kind of experience you have already! Our goal is to connect you more to your food from wherever you are!

I have a lot of baking experience already, will this course be worth it for me?

  • We feel that making from scratch is a life long adventure and feel that there’s always more to learn. Our student Heather, a self-professed seasoned baker said, “I was surprised at how much I learned from Hollis and her classes. How much time will it take me to complete a class?

  • Each section will vary based on what we are making.

How long do I have access to the course material?

  • The material is yours FOREVER!

Can I buy all of the produce from Murphy’s?

  • Since our courses can be taken from anywhere in the world, we recommend buying locally, wherever is local to you and supporting local farmers. If you are in the area and want to stop by the farm, we sell a variety of fresh produce and baked goods. Head over to our website to see what is currently in store

If I want to visit the farm and market when are you open?

  • The farm and market is open daily 9am – 5pm from the middle of March until the end of December.
